Yellowstone River
In mid-July we hiked 5-miles down into the Canyon of the Yellowstone for two nights. There are three campings sites near the river that require a permit to reserve and a battery of questions to answer before leaving. Bear proof containers or rope are required to hang food at the designated pole. We fished hoppers and caught a bunch of cutthroats ranging from 8-14 inches.
Wind River
The Wind River has a few access points below the Boysen Reservoir which abundant bug life. We fished rubber legs, zebra midges and tan caddis pupa to match the colors and size of the bug life and caught some quality fish.
